Welcome to Pio Pio 2, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Jackson Heights, New York. Specializing in authentic Peruvian cuisine, Pio Pio 2 invites you on a vibrant journey through Latin American flavors. Known for its inviting ambiance and flavorful offerings, the establishment is located at 84-02 Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights, NY 11372. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or a curious newcomer, Pio Pio 2 has something to delight your palate.

The menu is a delightful tapestry of dishes that reflect Peru's rich culinary heritage. From the renowned Parihuela, a traditional seafood soup that dances with spice and depth, to the comforting Papa a la Huancaina—cold sliced potatoes draped in a creamy, cheesy sauce—each offering tells a story. The Causa de Pollo, with its layers of mashed yellow potatoes and succulent chicken, is a nod to the country’s creative use of local ingredients and flavors.

For those seeking a burst of freshness, the ceviche deserves a special mention. Diners rave about its zesty kick and expertly cured seafood, making it a must-try. But it’s not just the main dishes that shine here; the postres are equally enticing. Indulge in a slice of Tres Leches Cake, though opinions may vary—some find it a bit stale, while others revel in its sweet decadence. For a taste of the Andes, the luscious Lucuma ice cream is highly recommended; its unique flavor encapsulates the essence of Peruvian desserts.

As I reflect on my dining experience, I am reminded of the warm service that complements the delightful dishes. Guests have praised the staff’s attentiveness, particularly Miguel, who adds a friendly touch to your visit. The ambiance strikes a pleasant balance, although some might find the music a tad loud during peak hours. Yet, this vibrant atmosphere seems to be part of its charm, as diners come together for special celebrations and casual lunches alike.

Pio Pio 2 is more than just a restaurant; it’s a community hub where flavors meet friendship. With each visit, you’re not just coming for a meal; you’re partaking in a cultural experience transported straight from Peru’s heart. For those seeking a piece of Latin America in New York, I wholeheartedly recommend making Pio Pio 2 your next dining destination.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Great ceviche, jalea, roasted chicken. My only complaint is the music plays too loud, but everybody else seems happy with it. The service is top notch and quality.

The food was pretty good. I highly highly recommend the ceviche, which was absolutely my favorite piece as well as the dish in the middle, which I forget the name but the chicken was absolutely so tender. Everyone loves this place and I remember growing up everyone wanted to go here for a celebration. I haven't been here in years, but decided to give it a go again. Definitely recommend. I know they're known for their fish, as well as that middle plate that I mentioned. People love coming here to celebrate. I also got the Tres leches cake but that I did not like. It felt like it was left in an open refrigerator. It tasted very stale.

Im a pío pío addict. I love it! I can't get enough of the salsa verde and the saffron rice, and the beans, and the chicken and the lomo saltado and the lucuma ice cream. I just love it all.

It's always a great meal here that is inexpensive and very comforting. The chicken is the only thing you should eat here. It's cooked well and seasoned well.

I have been coming here for many years and have had mixed experiences. Their food has been good at times and a miss at others. My go to would usually be their whole chicken with order of maduros, salad and a glass of sangria. My aunt threw her husbands 50 birthday party in their private room and it was actually a great experience. The private room has its own bathroom which is great and convenient. The party room is very spacious and could easily hold 50 people or more. The service was great that night and the food was absolutely delicious. The jalea was well cooked and seasoned. Their whole chicken was juicy, their rice and beans were delicious and their salad was fresh. The only complaint I have is their sangria used to be much better; it was extremely sweet and very expensive for the jar.
